East Aurora Schools is pleased to the opening of a new student fitness center at Middle School. transformed from a previous wrestling room during the summer months into a fitness facility with climate control. The district acquired a number of machines through an agreement with the Town of Aurora, and Middle School students have begun to use the center this fall as a regular part of the physical education curriculum.
In addition, the new fitness center will be available for community use, beginning the week of November 12, Equipment includes five cycles, a stair climber, three ellipticals, two treadmills, a rowing machine, a hi/lo pulley system, super leg press, leg curl, leg extension, an incline press, a shoulder press, a pec/delt seat, a lateral pull-down and a Gravitron (chin-ups, pull-ups, dips), as well as several free weight benches and a wide variety of free weights.
