Pet Connection Announces Special Events for October

Pet Connection Programs Inc., a special care shelter for dogs and cats located in Marilla, will be participating in several special events during the month of October.

Look for Pet Connection volunteers from 11 to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 1, and Sunday, October 2, at Cradle Beach in Angola. And from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, October 8, volunteers will be grilling up some delicious hot dogs and cheeseburgers at the Valu Home Center store in East Aurora.

Pet totes and other goodies will be available for sale from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, October 15 and 22, in the Walden Galleria in Cheektowaga.

Being a veterinarian is a tough job. After all, veterinarians have to treat patients who can't explain where it hurts or follow health instructions more complex than "sit" or "stay." 

That's why communication between pet owners and veterinarians is so important. Sharing information about how your pet is behaving — including eating, drinking, sleeping, urinating and/or passing stools — could help make a lifesaving diagnosis.

Pet Connection to Hold Chicken Barbecue Fundraiser on September 18

Pet Connection Programs, Inc., a maternity and special care shelter for dogs and cats located in Marilla, will hold a chicken barbecue beginning at noon on Sunday, Sept. 18, at the Bowen Grove Shelter, Bowen and Broadway, Lancaster.  

Dinners will include a half barbecue chicken plus sides, beverage and dessert, and will cost just $9. Take-out orders will be available.
