Donate a Prom Dress, Enter Raffle to Win Bandits Tickets on Saturday

Urban Valet is offering a chance to win two Buffalo Bandits tickets to anyone who donates a gown to Legislator Lynne Dixon’s Prom Dress Drive on Saturday, March 24 at any of Urban Valet’s locations. All donors will receive a coupon for 25 percent off their next cleaning as well.

Each donor will receive one coupon and one chance to win two Bandits tickets to a home game. Multiple coupons or chances to win will not be given for multiple dresses. Dresses can be donated during the following times:

  • 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Hamburg,  106B Evans Street,
  • 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Orchard Park,  4081 North Buffalo Road
  • 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Buffalo, 620 Elmwood Avenue

The winner will be drawn and contacted on Monday, March 26.

Lancaster Firefighters Ditch Ladders, Grab Serving Trays

On Tuesday, February 21 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill & Bar in Lancaster, NY will join forces with members of the Lancaster Fire Department to put out meals, not fires. The event is part of Applebee’s “Tip-A-Firefighter” fundraiser and will help the firemen and women raise key funds to support the Lancaster Fire Department Explorer Program. The Explorer program is an initiative for youth ages 14 to 18 and teaches the importance of fire safety and prevention.

Legislator Lorigo announces HEAP Outreach
will be held Jan. 24 at Aurora Senior Center

(EAST AURORA, NY) – Erie County Legislator Joseph C. Lorigo announces that a Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) Outreach will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at the Aurora Senior Center, 101 King Street, East Aurora. Attendees are asked to refrain from parking in the Oakwood Plaza lot. Interviews will begin at 9 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. Doors open at 8:30am.  All applicants will be interviewed. 

HEAP is a federally funded program to assist Erie County residents with their heating bills. The HEAP outreach will be administered by the Erie County Departments of Social Services and Senior Services and is open to all income eligible households.
