Pistol’s to Return to Local Food Scene Following Two-year Hiatus

A favorite food stand of Erie County Fair fans is about to reappear on the Western New York culinary scene following a two-year hiatus due to illness. And the Pistorio family couldn’t be happier about getting reacquainted with their longtime customers and friends!

Pistol’s food stand, an Erie County Fair staple for 10 years, will return to the local food scene with an appearance at the Queen of Heaven Cruise Night from 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, July 17, and the popular Queen of Heaven Carnival July 18-20. Carnival hours are 6 p.m. to midnight July 18, noon to midnight July 19 and noon to 10 p.m. July 20. Events will take place at 4220 Seneca St. in West Seneca.

Pistol’s was voted “Best Food” winner at the Erie County Fair in 2008 and 2011 and the Eden Corn Festival in 2004, according to owner Gary Pistorio of Cheektowaga. Gary and his wife Debbie, graduates of West Seneca East High School, took a break from the business due to Debbie being diagnosed with lupus. Gary and daughter Katie, currently a senior at West Seneca East, will operate the Queen of Heaven stand, which will feature corn on the cob, baked potatoes and sweet potatoes.

“This will be our first public event after a two-year layoff, and we are really looking forward to it,” said Gary. “Debbie may even make a brief appearance at the event if she’s feeling up to it. We can’t wait to see all of our old friends again who helped us to build our business.”

Pistol’s Inc. continues to provide inflatable bounce houses, tents, tables, chair rentals and catering for backyard parties and private events. For more information about the business, please call 444-5556 or email pistols826@roadrunner.com
