Author Signings, Poetry Event and Book Sale Taking Place at Dog Ears Bookstore

 

Dog Ears Bookstore & Café, a nonprofit community bookstore located at 688 Abbott Road in South Buffalo, will host two author signings in September. 

At 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, Dog Ears will welcome Cathrina Constantine, author of the young adult novel “Wickedly They Come.” And from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, author Keith White Jr. will visit Dog Ears to sign copies of his growing line of children’s books. White’s “Color-With-Me” series now includes five books, including his first title, “Andrew and the Pirates.”

Dog Ears will also host its next 4th Friday Poetry Series gathering at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27. Perry S. Nicholas, an assistant English professor at Erie Community College

North and author of five books of poetry, will be the featured guest. Maria Sebastian and John Brady will also be featured as special musical guests. Refreshments will be served, and a $3 donation will support future events at the bookstore.

Additionally, Dog Ears is holding a sale on select children’s and young adult books. Members of Dog Ears Bookstore will receive 30 percent off all purchases from the special discount table, while nonmembers will receive a 20 percent discount.
