Wildlife and Renaissance Festival
Wildlife and Renaissance Festival

The medieval family fun and merriment for all continues this weekend, July 23 and 24, 11:00-4:00pm at Hawk Creek Wildlife Center’s Wild Renn Fest! Opening weekend on July 16 and 17 was a success as hundreds of event guests shared in the celebration of this 24th annual wildlife and renaissance festival. This Saturday and Sunday, however will be the crown jewel! The festival is highlighted by nationally renowned TV host Jarod Miller of Animal Exploration, the brave knights of Brothers in Arms Jousting, and the aerial acrobatics of free-flying birds during The Royal Tournament.

Medieval costume-clad naturalists will be dispersed throughout the festival grounds for up-close encounters with local and exotic wildlife, including the owls of Harry Potter. Family-friendly entertainers, kid’s crafts, delicious food, an art auction, and continuous live music are only the tip of the sword.  Enter the realm of the Bald Eagle in Walk with the Eagles™, where guests have the unique opportunity to stand face to face with our national symbol and capture its fierce beauty on camera. And don’t miss the event finale, the Barn Owl Release! This beloved tradition provides event guests the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime hands-on opportunity to release a live barn owl into the wild. The release is part of Hawk Creek’s internationally accredited barn owl breeding project.
