Legislator Lorigo Announces June 16th Guided Walk in Emery Park | Environment
Erie County Legislator Joseph C. Lorigo announces that a free guided walk through Emery Park will be held on Saturday, June 16. Registration begins at 9 a.m. The park’s address is 2084 Emery Road, South Wales, and signs will be placed at the entrance, directing attendees to the starting point of the walk.
“The guided walks series promotes healthy lifestyles while featuring the county’s beautiful parks. Emery Park is one of the most picturesque in the park’s system with great trails to enjoy,” Legislator Lorigo said. “The event also includes health screenings and educational information to encourage healthy choices.”
Additional walks will be held on Saturday, June 23 at the Times Beach Nature Preserve and on Saturday, June 30 at Sprague Brook Park.
Health screenings offered at the event include blood pressure and BMI readings. Assorted health education materials and smoking cessations services, products and program enrollment are available.
