open house in support of Recruit NY, a
statewide volunteer firefighter recruitment
initiative. We are seeking members of our
community interested in learning more about
the Lancaster Fire Department and exploring
the possibility of joining our fire department.
We will offer tours, demonstrations, raffles, and
refreshments.

Ashley Johnson was born and raised in East Aurora. Having graduated from East Aurora School District and always being involved in her local church, she wanted to give back to the community she so loves. Her mother, Kirsten Chase, also an East Aurora native, shares that passion. Johnson, with lots of help from Chase, has made their passion a reality and will be celebrating a dream come true at the same time.

The Christian gift shop Gifts Of Faith will celebrate its grand opening on Sat., April 2. The store is located at 620 Main St. on the corner of Riley Street, in East Aurora.

This year our classes have been revamped. We have listened to the comments from past classes and made some changes. We hope you will enjoy the new classes we are offering. This year we have 2 dates to choose from or join us for both. Both dates will be held CUCE Erie County 21 S.Grove St. E.Aurora. Registration is $20 per day or $30 for both days. Please be sure to register prior to the deadline for the class your are interested in. We Look forward to seeing you there!!

Pet Connection Plans Annual ‘Tails on the Trails’ Event

Pet Connection Programs Inc., a maternity and special care animal shelter located in Marilla, will hold its sixth annual “Tails on the Trails” dog walk from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Como Lake Park Casino in Lancaster.

In addition to the dog walk, there will be contests, raffles, a basket auction, vendors and a cookout. Other activities and demonstrations include a “good citizen” dog test, pet blessing, pet psychic, pet first aid, dog agility and much more.
