Thank You For Your Service and Sacrifice This Memorial Day 2011
  •  A special Thank You to Edward J. Malloy for your un-selfish service to our country during WWII. During the war he trained as a flight engineer/mechanic/pilot and tail-gunner on the B-25 Mitchell Bombers in the Mediterranean Theatre, 12th Air Force 57th Bomb Wing.  He flew an incredible 63 combat missions as attested to in the certificate below.  Received AIR MEDAL for his actions on a mission over Italy on July 12 1944.  Forever Proud of You, miss you very much.  Julia, Jerry, Janet, Judy & Bob
  • Would also like to thank my Mother Julia who is a veteran of the home front.  She worked tirelessly at the Curtiss-Wright Plant at the Airport, building the P-40's and C-36's as a "Rosie the Riveter" from 1942 till the end of the war. She survived a near miss in the plant on September 11, 1942, when a pilotless P-40 crashed into the plant about a 100 ft. away, taking the lives of 14 and injuring 34.    A tribute to those who died and were injured is at the link below. Those who served the Home Front should not be forgotten neither.  THANK YOU VETERANS ONE AND ALL!
