The Kiwanis Club of East Aurora and BW’s Smokin’ Barrels BBQ are out to make history. On Fri., March 4 they will partner together to present what is commonly known as the “World’s Largest Fish Fry.”

The number of fish fries sold by the Kiwanis Club of East Aurora has not yet reached the Guinness World Records, but this year’s planning encouraged many of the members that they are bound for success. The current record-holding number of fish fries sold took place on May 3, 2008, at the Polish Heritage Festival. The event sold 2,552 fish at the Erie County Fairgrounds.

“While the number of fish fries sold at the Polish Heritage Festival is momentous, event organizers are confident that the Southtowns communities will rally for this great cause, and be of support in the opportunity to make history,” said Pat Blizniak, chairman of the East Aurora event.
