The annual Annunciation Church Picnic, a fun-filled family event featuring great food, rides, raffles, music, specialty booths and much more, will take place Aug. 19-21 on the parish grounds at 7580 Clinton St. in Elma.

The fun kicks off at 5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, with a delicious fish fry, a classic car show from 6 to 9 p.m. and music by Hit ‘n Run from 7 to 11 p.m. under the beer tent.

Activities on Saturday, Aug. 20, will kick off at 1 p.m. and will include a pork chop dinner at 4 p.m., ride specials, and Irish/Celtic music by The Leftovers from 1 to 4 p.m. and country hits by the Whiskey River Band from 7 to 11 p.m. Both bands will perform under the beer tent. Volunteers will also be serving Annunciation’s famous clam chowder throughout the day!

A Polish Polka Mass at 11:30 a.m. will get things started on Sunday, Aug. 21. Sunday’s menu will include a chicken barbecue beginning at noon and a final opportunity to sample Annunciation’s tasty chowder. Festive German music by the Schnickelfritzers will take place from 12:30 to 3 p.m., followed by Polish tunes by Lenny Gomulka & Chicago Push from 3 to 7 p.m. Once again, both bands will perform under the beer tent.

Feeling lucky? Annunciation’s annual picnic will feature cash raffles as well as opportunities to win a flat-screen TV, an Amish quilt, night on the town packages, theme baskets and other terrific prizes!

Feeling hungry? In addition to the food choices mentioned above, there will also be a continuous food court featuring Italian sausage, hot dogs, pizza, hamburgers, fries, fried dough, funnel cakes, ice cream and other mouth-watering favorites.
