QUAKER’S LANDING HAD SUCESSFUL CHILI COOK OFF TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE ALZHEIMER’S ASSOCIATION

Quaker’s Landing, a memory care community in Orchard Park, NY hosted a Chili

Cook-off contest on Thursday November 3, 2011 and raised a little over $600  for the Alzheimer’s Association.  

Quaker’s Landing would like to thank all the participants from the community and family for their generous donations and for making the event so successful.  Also, Quaker’s Landing would like to thank the panel of judges, Claudia Shriver, family member, Tim Wenger, Family member, Joe Wales, owner of Pet Heaven Funeral Home in Orchard Park and Rich Gaenzler, the Morning Bull on 103.3 the Edge.   All of the judges enjoyed the tasting and really collaborated in choosing the winners.  Frank Shriver won people’s choice award, Victoria Tiebor 1st Place, Anthony Polak, 2nd Place and Sherry Black, 3rd Place.  All participated in the basket raffles and all agreed that this needs to be an annual event!

Quaker’s Landing, operated by Peregrine Health Management Company, is a 52 capacity memory care community with twenty four hour care and assistance to those seniors who may experience memory impairment.  The specially trained staff assists seniors with their day to day challenges and help them Celebrate Life!  For more information call 675-1022 or stop in for a tour!
