Salon in the Village Celebrates 10-Year Anniversary

What do a meat market, a florist, and a beauty salon all have in common? Answer: over the past century they have all occupied the same building at 707 Main St. in the Village of East Aurora.

Melody’s Salon in the Village and Day Spa, which currently occupies the building, celebrates its 10th anniversary this month. The modern, beautifully renovated shop has undergone many changes through the years. Current owner Melody Gerhardt explained, “We purchased the building in December 2000 and opened in February 2001. We had to do a complete renovation.” She and her staff want clients to join them in celebrating the salon’s anniversary throughout February, including in-salon specials, grab bags, and giveaways.

Aurora Wellness Center Welcomes New Associate

Chiropractor Ashley Gleason is the newest associate of the Aurora Wellness Center. Born and raised in Western New York, she is delighted to be providing a valuable service to her own community.

Dr. Gleason attended North Tonawanda High School and injured her back while participating in sports. “It was so bad my brother had to literally carry me up the stairs at home,” she joked. To relieve her pain, Gleason went to a chiropractor in her neighborhood and was amazed with the body/brain connection.
