East Hill Foundation Contributes $65,000 Toward the Protection of the Stella Niagara Preserve

 

The East Hill Foundation, located in North Tonawanda and focused on enhancing the quality of life of the residents of Western New York, has generously contributed $65,000 to the Western New York Land Conservancy for the creation of the Stella Niagara Preserve. This donation helped the Land Conservancy reach its $3.27 million fundraising goal, which enabled the Land Conservancy to purchase the 29-acre preserve property on the Niagara River in the Town of Lewiston.

H-4 Dependent Spouses May Now Apply for Employment Authorization

 

USCIS put into effect a new rule on May 26, 2015, allowing certain H-4 spouses to apply for work authorization. Previously, USCIS did not provide work authorization to any H-4 spouses. Since last Tuesday, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) began accepting applications for employment authorization from H-4 dependent spouses of H-1B nonimmigrants who are seeking employment-based lawful permanent resident status. Premium processing is not available for this application.

Heintz & Weber Co., Inc. of Buffalo announced this week that the Sysco Foods New York Division in Syracuse has added Weber’s Brand Horseradish Mustard to its lineup and will now supply the legendary mustard to restaurant accounts in New York and Pennsylvania. This marks the first time that a major food service company has taken on Weber's products for widespread distribution. 

Initially, Sysco Foods New York Division has taken on Weber's Horseradish Mustard in the 12-ounce squeeze size. Additional Weber’s products will also be made be available to restaurants upon request.
