Mandee knows all about bumps and bruises. Raising five sons will make you can expert on such things.

Mandee also has her own website called “Raising My 5 Sons,” on which she writes about her home life, which she describes as “a little crazy, hectic, silly, loud but always a lot of love and happiness!” Recently, she reviewed Cool Gel ‘n Cap, a unique first aid cap for kids that was invented and brought to market by Western New York resident Timothy Panicali. Here’s what the mom of five had to say:

“Every parent knows that one day their kid will injure themselves from a head bump, and having to deal with holding an icepack on their bump is not an enjoyable process for both parent and child. I am not sure if you all remember the time my now two-year-old fell down the steps. The bump on his head was huge! We took him to the ER to have him looked at just to be sure everything was OK. My older boys have had bumps and bruises, but this little guy definitely has them all beat.

“Cool Gel ‘n Gear LLC has created the Cool Gel ‘n Cap, a unique first aid cap for toddlers and young children. I really wish we would have had this neat little cap when my little guy fell down the steps, but I'm glad that we have one now for future falls. I am sure with five boys there will be plenty more falls in our future. This is a great product, and my two-year-old actually likes to put it on and wear it around the house. I don't think we would have any problem getting him to wear it if he had a head injury.”
