Owner of Ooo La La honored by County Legislature | Business
Erie County Legislator Joseph Lorigo recognized Crista Botticello during the Legislature's April 5, 2012 session. Owner of Ooo La La Boutique in East Aurora, Botticello was honored for giving back to her community through the creation of a scholarship program. Legislator Lorigo commends Botticello for her efforts.
The following proclamation was read during session and presented to Botticello:
I Hereby Certify, that at a regular session of the Legislature of Erie County, held in the County Hall, in the City of Buffalo, on the 5th day of April 2012, A.D. a resolution was adopted, of which the following is a true copy:
WHEREAS, Crista Botticello, an East Aurora native graduated from Iroquois Central School in 2009, and;
WHEREAS, Crista Botticello opened Ooo La La Boutique in East Aurora’s historic Main Street shopping district in July of 2010, and;
WHEREAS, Crista Botticello, is also a full time English Education student at Buffalo State College, and;
WHEREAS, Crista Botticello, wanting to encourage other aspiring entrepreneurs created “A Passion for Fashion and Business Scholarship” in spring of 2012, and;
WHEREAS, this scholarship will award $200 to an Iroquois graduating senior pursuing a major in fashion, design or business attending a two or four year college, and;
WHEREAS, Crista Botticello, has designed this scholarship to inspire applicants creativity by requesting applicants to submit a project that displays their personality and passion rather than a traditional essay, and;
WHEREAS, Crista Botticello, a small business owner, has seen her success as a means to give back to her community, and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IS RESOLVED, that this legislative body pauses in its deliberations to honor Crista Botticello, a successful small business owner and scholarship benefactor.
