"The American Side" Made in Buffalo!
"The American Side" Made in Buffalo!

This is a classic film noir private detective story with participants fighting over plans of a Nikola Tesla invention that was separated by Tesla into two parts so it could not be built without having both halves. Scenes were shot at the Grain Elevators, many locations around Buffalo, on the Steam Engines at the Col. Ward, Niagara Falls and even the Lockport Locks and caves. They are working on releasing the film in the Spring. It's a fun, tense detective movie definitely worth seeing especially if your from WNY. This movie is a great boost for Buffalo... See Movie Trailer at:  http://www.theamericansidemovie.com/the-skinny/  Help increase it's distribution around America in the Spring of 2016 with your support on their KickStarter page. The campaign is in it's last couple of days so please hurry. http://kck.st/1lhNBq5

The Director’s Statement

I am writing to you live from movie HQ's where I am thrilled to share that we have secured our foreign rights, and are in the midst of finalizing our domestic distribution deal. We cannot wait to premiere THE AMERICAN SIDE in Buffalo this spring!

The Hollywood Reporter hailed us as 'an adrenaline-charged, pop-noir mystery... with an outstanding supporting cast and evocative locations...' And, after our recent sneak-peek at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, the film was praised as a 'twisty, thrilling, mystery' and for our 'stunning locations' capturing 'Buffalo as a beautiful featured character' - for which we are very proud.

We're an independent film in an arthouse world, and we're determined to really spread our theatrical release to as many markets as possible. To do this, and also raise our audience awareness outside the City of Good Neighbors leading up to our Spring 2016 premiere, we're joining the ranks of other indie-filmmakers like Spike Lee and Zach Braff, by creating a really awesome KICKSTARTER campaign.

Please take a moment to check it out, back a cool reward, and spread the news with your network(s) via social media and email: http://kck.st/1lhNBq5 Every share is a HUGE show of support and I cannot tell you how much that means to us!

We collaborated with so many wonderful, talented and tireless folks, and as we approach this exciting time of getting THE AMERICAN SIDE out in the world, we hope you'll back us and share the good news!

Director,

Jenna Ricker
