Enjoy The Journey Art Gallery in West Seneca has announced a wide variety of exhibits, classes and other events to take place throughout the fall season.

Calling all BRArtists! The Painted Bra Art Project is a fun art project created to support breast cancer research and education, and Enjoy The Journey is looking for BRArtists with creative minds and the desire to support women’s health. Sessions will be held at the gallery at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 and 19. Please call the gallery at 675-0204 if you are interested in participating in this fun activity.

September’s gallery exhibit, “Branches from the Same Tree,” a mother and daughter art exhibit featuring work by Irene Sundberg and her daughter, Heidi Zanelli, will run from Sept. 11 through Oct. 5 with an opening reception with the artists from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 13. The reception will also feature a wine tasting with Tim Weber of Colonial Wine & Spirits. The event is free and open to the public.

A two-week refresher drawing class with artist Cindi O’Mara will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17 and 24. The class, designed for both experienced and beginner artists, will develop basic drawing skills using color pencil and graphite. Students will be given instruction and a variety of exercises designed to take them to the next level in their drawing. The fee for the class is $38.

Wine, Women & Art classes, a girl’s night out with with artist Andrea Oswald, will be held Thursday evenings, Sept. 26 and Oct. 17. Participants will paint on glass, sip on wine and taste some goodies. Sessions include all supplies and cost just $25. 

Colored pencil classes with Cindi O’Mara, exploring composition, design, textural techniques, under-painting and other creative applications, are scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29. A still-life and a landscape project will be worked on in class. Some basic drawing skills would be helpful but both beginners and more advanced artists are welcome. The fee for the course is $75 for gallery members and $80 for nonmembers. 

Watercolor classes with artist and gallery owner Paulette Krakowski are booked from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays Oct. 2, 9, 16 and 23. Participants will learn techniques through weekly projects such as glazing and blending. Open to beginner students, the cost is $75 for gallery members and $80 for nonmembers. 

Silk Scarf: Color It – Wear It with artist Linda Swanekamp will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10. All supplies are included, and no experience is necessary. If you can scribble, you can do it! The cost is $30 for gallery members and $35 for nonmembers.

At 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 24, artist Karen E. Koch will teach the traditional craft of broom making. At this class, participants will make a traditional wood handle hearth broom. All supplies are included and the class fee is just $38.
