EAST AURORA, NY -- The East Aurora Union Free School District will sponsor an Eating Disorders Information Night at Parkdale Elementary School in the auditorium on Thursday, February 3 at 7:00 PM. The panel format will feature local experts from the medical community, and is coordinated by the school district's Pupil Services and Health, Physical Education and Athletics Departments. The forum will be presented as a community service, there will be no cost to attend, and it will be open to all.

Panelists, accompanied by recovered victims of eating disorders, will discuss the signs of the disorders and provide resources for help. It is estimated that 8-10 million people in the United States suffer from eating disorders, the majority of them young women.

    Dr. Leslie A. Glassbrenner
    Board Licensed Dentist and owner of Gentle Dentistry in East Aurora
    Dr. Kathleen Grimm, MD
    University of Buffalo Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Division of Adolescent Medicine
