Speed Networking Event Breaks the Ice, Builds Business Contacts

The Greater East Aurora Chamber of Commerce has scheduled another Speed Networking event.  It’s an old idea based on “speed dating”, however this  networking concept is geared towards building your business contacts.  The event will take place on Thursday, January 20th, at 5:30pm at Wallenwein’s Hotel, 641 Oakwood Avenue, East Aurora.  The event is open to any business selling a service or product and provides a tremendous opportunity to meet more contacts and create greater awareness of their business.

How to Make Your Car Last Forever: Auto Q&A with Tom Torbjornsen

Dear Tom,

There is a low coolant warning on my ’99 Jeep Grand Cherokee that won't go away even though I had the coolant serviced. Also, the carpet is wet and slimy on the front passenger floor. Any help would be appreciated.

Town Offers to Plow at Knox Park

Town Offers to Plow at Knox Park

by Jeremy Morlock

TOWN OF AURORA, N.Y. - New York State plans to lay off or relocate the workers at Knox Farm State Park at the end of the year, but the Town of Aurora is putting forward a plan to make the site at least somewhat accessible to visitors. Supervisor Jolene Jeffe, with the backing of the Town Board, is asking the state to allow the town to plow the main visitors driveway, parking area and exits.

“This would be just a temporary fix to allow the park to remain open while groups like the Friends of Knox [Farm State Park] mobilize and try to come up with a plan to operate the park long-term,” Jeffe told her board colleagues on Monday night.
