Student Athletes Raising the Bar Thanks to Improved Training

West Seneca East High School athletes have reportedly experienced superior results after implementing Primordial Strength training methods through their certified coaches, according to Steven Helmicki, president of Primordial Strength Inc.

One female athlete added five inches on her high jump after just two weeks of training, said Helmicki. Another athlete who had plateaued for nearly two years recently shaved several tenths of a second off her sprint times.

How to Make Your Car Last Forever: Auto Q&A with Tom Torbjornsen

Dear Tom,

I own a  ’90 Cadillac Brougham. Its knock sensor went out which caused it to run poorly. I have replaced the sensor, but the car still misfires. I had it scanned for codes but there are none in the computer memory. What could be the causing this problem? Could the problem be the ignition coil?

Petitions for East Aurora Elections are Due by Feb. 8

by Jeremy Morlock

Village residents who are considering running for a seat on the East Aurora Village Board are now able to pick up independent nominating petitions at Village Hall (571 Main St.). Between now and Feb. 8, those political aspirants must gather the signatures of at least 100 registered village voters.

The terms of trustees Kevin Biggs, Peter Mercurio and Libby Weberg will expire this spring, with new or re-elected trustees to take office in early April. Biggs, Mercurio and Weberg each won re-election in 2009, edging out challenger Susan McBurney. Candidates in Village of East Aurora elections have traditionally run independently from major political parties.
