If you go to the Erie County Fair’s website, www.ecfair.org, you will see all the information for entering.  The entry catalog is available online now for you to see all the categories that you can enter into.  There are so many that you really need to check it out for yourself.

Canada’s premier celebration of the global arts, Sunfest is a unique, high-profile event featuring more than 30 professional world music, dance and jazz ensembles based in Canada and abroad.

Sunfest is a nonprofit community arts group dedicated to promoting cross-cultural awareness and understanding of the arts across a range of disciplines, such as music, dance and the visual arts. Through the organization’s World Music & Jazz Concert Series and the free-admission Sunfest event, they celebrate brilliant music and dance ensembles representing diverse cultures from around the world.

Annunciation Parish to Host Two Musical Events

Annunciation parish, located at 7580 Clinton St. in Elma, will host two upcoming musical events in the church.

The Lancaster High School Music Department will present its second annual “Evening of Chamber Music” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 8. The concert will feature the Men’s Choir under the direction of Gary Lee, the Brass Choir with director Jacob Seymour, and the Woodwind Choir directed by Daniel DeAngelis. Both Seymour and DeAngelis are members of Annunciation parish. The event is open to the public and free of charge.

Jacobs’ Office Responsible for 50% of County Surplus

       Says proud of role Clerk’s office plays to support critical services while keeping down taxes

Erie County, NY – Erie County Clerk Chris Jacobs reported today that his office accounted for 50% of the overall county surplus.  Jacobs’ is referring to the County Comptroller’s report released yesterday which shows an overall budget surplus of $4.27 Million, and  “roughly 50% of the county’s entire operating surplus,” came from the County Clerk  said the Erie County Comptroller in his budget close-out report.

“We were proud to report our over $2 million dollar surplus several months ago but the fact that we contributed such a large percentage to the County’s overall surplus is quite significant,” said Jacobs. The Clerk’s Office represents only 4% of the County’s work force but is responsible for one-half of the 2012 County’s surplus.
